We understand how digital technology has radically changed the speed and efficiency of the design process. We have over 20 years' experience with CAD and without it we would not be able to deliver the results we achieve.

However, we recognise that technology does not have all the answers, so we are never afraid to pick up a pencil and paper or to visit the workshop and make a prototype by hand. We still use our hands - they are excellent tools, often wasted when just used to click a mouse!

Having our own workshop enables us to make a variety of prototypes, such as A-surface models in foam or proof-of-concept test rigs.

A quote from Tom Kelley of IDEO sums up our approach:

“If a picture is a thousand words a good prototype is a thousand pictures”.

Communication is key and we always fully engage with our clients. After all, they have expert knowledge in their own fields. Our collaborative approach, however, means that we can provide fresh thinking to take an idea from an initial concept, right through to a production solution.

We have the skills to facilitate this from brainstorming ideas sessions right through to managing the production process. By working alongside our clients we like to think of ourselves as an extension of the client’s team.

We know that strategic thinking alone is not enough; it needs to be combined with practical skills. We deliver actual products, not just potential.
